Empty Vessel

Unknown fell to the ground hard, scooting himself against the wall as the blue gecko approached him, gun in hand. "W-Wire what are you doing? What did I do?" He pleaded, throwing up a bloodied hand in an attempt to stop his girlfriend's advance. He had noticed she had been acting a bit distant lately but shrugged it off as her just being focused on another project. If only he had talked to her about it...but it was too late for that now. She was going to kill him, and he didn't know why. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry for whatever I did just please don't kill me!" He whined, turning his head away in fear, hoping that she wouldn't be able to pull the trigger.

Wire towered over the injured chameleon, cold and empty. Someone else was in control of her mind, whispering for her to pull the trigger. 'Liar, cheater, he leaves you for months to date other girls. He deserves this, he deserves death for abandoning you and using you...' The thoughts continued, edging her on. Wire wanted to stop, she didn't want to kill him, but she also craved to hear his dying scream, to see the life drain out of him. The gun trembled lightly as she fought with the voices in her head, staring down at the terrified boy, seeing his tears and the shaking. Why did she want him dead? What did he do to her that she didn't already know? Wire blinked, a tint of orange coming back to her eyes as she dropped the gun and clutched her head, sinking to her knees and screaming. "Get out of my head...get out of my head!"

I'll be the first to admit that I'm terrible at guns. It took forever to get it to look even remotely like a believeable gun but I still feel that it's...off somehow. Regardless I'm still quite proud of it even though it's far from perfect.

Some time ago my friend Wingedfeline drew a picture with my girl Wire in it. And when I was praising her on it she mentioned that she'd love to see me try the same picture in my style. At the time I couldn't really take her on, I was crazy busy with a lot of stuff, and admittedly I forgot about it until I was stalking my favorites gallery and re-discovered her awesome picture and challenge. It was inspiring to see her push her limits on posing and whatnot, and so I decided to take her up on her challenge. I did adjust the posing slightly to better reflect Unknown's cowardice and fear to the thought of being killed by his love. But of course Unknown would never fight back. He'd never forgive himself if he hurt her and would rather die.
