Ya'd better start runnin, boys!

"Please, leave me alone!"

Charlie heard the cry before she could see the boy, striding over from the park bench she was sitting on to the playground the black and white kitten was playing in. She didn't take too long to find Cheshire, sitting on the ground and crying while a few older bullies taunted him about the perpetual cast on his arm. The red fox shoved one of the boys aside, picking up her son and looking at the bullies with a growing irritation at what they had done to her boy. Meanwhile, Cheshire responded quickly to Charlie's strong arms, hiding his face and sniffling while Charlie held him close with comfort and spoke quietly. "Ya've got a problem with m'son? Threatenin 'im? What exactly were ya plannin, boys?" Her voice wouldn't have scared anyone normally, but her expression and low, dark tone held a dangerous, almost venomous feel that made the bullies flinch.

After a tense moment of silence, the oldest bully spoke up. "W-we were just playing with him ma'am, he fell, that's all."

Charlie's nose wrinkled in disgust. "Yer a terrible liar, kid. Now scram b'fore I show ya what it's like ta be on the receivin end 'o a bully beatdown!" She barked out the last words dangerously causing the bullies to take her advice and run away. Charlie huffed and smirked slightly before softening her expression and voice to tend to the distraught child in her arms.

Please note that I have no idea what Cheshire actually looks like, as Wingedfeline has yet to post a picture of him on her DA. I'm going off of what I know, which is that Cheshire is a black and white kitten with an arm perpetually in a cast. Cheshire is a cripple from what I understand, hence the cast and I imagine he gets a lot of grief over it at school or in public parks. But Charlie's almost always nearby to help him out, it's probably in your best interest not to make the child cry. Enjoy!
